Jeppson & Griffin, LLP represents both employees and employer in the area of employment law. Although somewhat unique (most attorneys represent either one or the other), we believe that representing different perspectives makes us better prepared to anticipate and defend an opponent’s claims.
Our representation includes employees’ claims of discrimination, harassment and wrongful termination. Generally, such claims are based on inherent characteristics as race, religion, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, and so forth.
Our representation of employers is much broader. We routinely represent employers in defending claims made by employees, whether they be claims for wrongful termination, harassment, or discrimination, or wage and hour claims. For employers, we also provide seminars and training in employment issues, including employee selection, hiring, managing, discipline and termination. We also provide seminars on wage and hour matters, as well being certified to conduct employer I-9 audits. We prepare Employee Handbooks, help develop and write employment policies and procedures, and regularly advise clients on day to day human resource or employment issues.
